Fort Worth's Cowgirl Museum Reopens Saturday: a Free Grand Parade at 11, Then Free Admission All Day for the 16,000-Square-Foot Expansion
The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame, closed since October 19 for its expansion, reopens Saturday in Fort Worth's Cultural District: a members' preview at 10 a.m., the free Cowgirl Grand Parade at 11, and a public grand opening at noon with free admission throughout the day.

Fort Worth's Cultural District gets its museum back on Saturday. The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame will reopen on November 7 after closing to the public on October 19 in preparation for the grand opening of its 16,000-square-foot expansion, the museum announced in its own release, read in full this run — a new chapter, the museum said, in its 50-year legacy.
The day runs in three steps. An exclusive members-only preview begins at 10 a.m. The Cowgirl Grand Parade follows at 11 a.m. — free and open to everyone, featuring Hall of Fame honorees, horses and riders, Western riding clubs, one-of-a-kind Ford Mustangs, community organizations and the TCU baseball team. The route covers Montgomery Street between Lancaster and Harley, Harley Avenue, and Gendy Street between Lancaster and Harley, and the streets along the route close to traffic at 10:30 a.m., so the museum advises arriving early. At noon the expanded museum opens to the public, with free admission throughout the day, new galleries and exhibitions, and the new Cowgirl Carousel.
For families planning the trip: public parking is at the Western Heritage Garage and the Yellow Lot on Trail Drive, with city parking fees applying, and food trucks will be on hand. The museum is at 1720 Gendy Street in Fort Worth. The desk uses the museum's own published times throughout; where secondary event listings have printed different parade times, the museum's release is the source of record for this file.
