Halloween Weather in Dallas–Fort Worth: Showers Clear by Saturday Evening, Then a Stormy Monday (Dallas Watch News)

North Texas goes into Halloween weekend unsettled, then improves right on schedule. The station's live weather feed put Dallas–Fort Worth at 70.1 degrees and overcast on Friday night, after a Friday high of 76.6, with precipitation chances still at 29 percent. Showers spread across the Metroplex tonight and into Saturday morning, FOX 4's weather team reported, before drying moves in from west to east during Saturday afternoon.

That timing is the good news for Halloween. Saturday tops out at 72.8 degrees with a low of 64.2 and a 35 percent precipitation chance concentrated early; by Saturday evening, conditions favor trick-or-treaters, with a dry window for outdoor plans across most of North Texas. Sunday is the weekend's break - mostly dry, warmer at 79.1 degrees, and one hour longer: clocks fall back early Sunday, November 1, as daylight saving time ends.

The pattern turns again to start the week. Monday climbs to 86.1 degrees with precipitation chances at 60 percent, and the Storm Prediction Center has scattered severe storms possible Monday afternoon and night across North Texas. A cold front follows late Monday into Tuesday, bringing a thunderstorm day - a high of 77.8 with chances at 60 percent on the station feed - and cooler air behind it for Election Day and the middle of next week. The Weather Desk updates the Monday storm risk through the weekend.
