Dallas–Fort Worth Weather: Monday Now Carries Thunderstorms Too, and Election Day Cools to 75 (Dallas Watch News)

The storm system aimed at Election Day is arriving a day early on the forecast. The station's live weather feed, read just after 1 a.m. Sunday, puts the current temperature at 65.4 degrees and clear, with Sunday itself unchanged in character — fog early (code 45), a high of 78.9, a low of 64.2 and only a 4 percent rain chance for the Dia de los Muertos events across the Metroplex.

Monday is where the feed moved. Where the overnight file had Monday overcast, the code now reads thunderstorms (95) — still warm, a high of 84.7 and a low of 63.8, with the rain chance at 59 percent. In practical terms: outdoor plans for Monday should now carry the same storm caveat that Tuesday has carried all weekend, rather than treating Monday as the last clear warm day.

Tuesday, Election Day, stays wet and turns cooler: thunderstorms, a 77 percent rain chance, and a high of 74.8 — down from 77.8 in the last file — with a low of 64.8. Wednesday clears behind the system (sunny, 73.9, rain chance 1 percent) and the rest of the week runs mild: 79.8 Thursday, 74.7 Friday, 79.5 Saturday. Voters and poll workers planning for Tuesday should plan for rain across both voting and the evening count.
