Fort Worth's Halloween has a western address. Treat Street, the Stockyards Spooktacular Halloween Festival, runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, across the Exchange Lawns, Stockyards Station and Mule Alley, according to the Fort Worth Stockyards' own event listing. Kids 12 and under in costume can trick-or-treat at participating Stockyards Station and Mule Alley retailers, with face painting and family entertainment through the afternoon.

The program's signature piece is the Legends of Texas Silver Bullet Halloween Show, part of the afternoon lineup Visit Fort Worth's Halloween guide also lists for the district. The Stockyards' Halloween runs on two tracks this year: the family festival by day, and Halloween night in the Stockyards for adults, where Here Come the Mummies play Billy Bob's Texas, the guide notes.

Families with a longer Saturday in them have a second Fort Worth stop on the same guide: Trick or Treat at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Between the museum in the morning, Treat Street at midday and the neighborhoods after dark, Tarrant County's Halloween is a full-day itinerary - no costume changes required.
