Friday Night Roundup: Duncanville, DeSoto and Allen Roll as Dallas–Fort Worth Week 10 Finals Land
Week 10 of the high school football season brought the expected statements from the Metroplex's powers: Duncanville handled Lake Ridge, DeSoto posted a shutout, Allen stayed perfect, and Keller Central won an 80-49 shootout with Keller.

The powers did what powers do on Friday night. Duncanville beat Mansfield Lake Ridge 35-16, DeSoto blanked Mansfield Legacy 70-0, and Allen stayed unbeaten with a 56-14 win over McKinney Boyd. Southlake Carroll handled Keller Timber Creek 43-19, and North Crowley ran its record to 9-0 with a 72-10 rout of Mansfield - results that kept Allen and North Crowley at the top of the statewide Super 10 rankings.
The night's wildest scoreline came in Keller, where Keller Central outlasted Keller 80-49. Hebron edged Flower Mound 42-41 in the night's tightest finish among the big schools, while Highland Park beat Birdville 49-31, Byron Nelson shut out Saginaw Boswell 59-0, and South Oak Cliff shut out Thomas Jefferson 49-0.
Elsewhere in the Friday finals reported on the Dallas–Fort Worth scoreboard: Waxahachie 34, Crowley 0; Lake Highlands 45, Plano West 24; Prosper 52, Prosper Walnut Grove 10; and Cedar Hill 44, Cleburne 13. At least one Friday game, Arlington at Arlington Martin, was still listed as pending on the scoreboard late Friday night; the board refreshes through the weekend as schools report.
Week 10 is the regular season's penultimate week for most Metroplex programs. The Sports Desk files the final-week roundup next Friday and the playoff picture as the brackets set.
