Dallas–Fort Worth Weather: A Warmer Sunday at 79 After the Clocks Fell Back, Election Day Storms Still Ahead (Dallas Watch News)

North Texas woke up an hour richer and a degree or two warmer than the overnight forecast had it. Daylight saving time ended at 2 a.m., and this station's live weather feed, read at about 5 a.m. Sunday, put the temperature at 62.5 degrees and mainly clear, feeling like 65.9. Sunday itself carries early fog (code 45) before a high of 79.3, a low of 62.5 and a rain chance of just 3 percent — a dry, mild stage for the day's Dia de los Muertos events and the noon Cowboys kickoff in Arlington.

The two unsettled days ahead have not moved. Monday stays overcast (code 3) at 80.7 degrees with a 52 percent rain chance — the organized thunderstorm risk the feed briefly assigned to Monday overnight remains withdrawn, but a rain plan is still the prudent call. Tuesday, Election Day, remains the week's wet day: thunderstorms (code 95), a high of 74.8, a low of 64.8 and a 75 percent rain chance landing squarely on polling hours. Voters who have not yet cast a ballot — early voting closed Friday with 7.55 million Texans in — should build the rain into Tuesday's trip.

Behind the system the week settles. Wednesday clears completely (73.9 degrees, no rain chance), Thursday turns partly cloudy at 79.8, Friday runs overcast at 74.7, and Saturday returns to 79.5 with a 17 percent rain chance. The pattern, in one line: enjoy Sunday, watch Monday, and vote wet on Tuesday.
