Autumn at the Arboretum Ends Sunday: One Last Day for Pumpkin Village and 'Harvest Hues' (Dallas Watch News)

Sunday is the last chance this year to walk Pumpkin Village. Autumn at the Arboretum, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden's fall festival at 8525 Garland Road, closes Sunday, November 1, ending a run that opened September 19 with more than 100,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash built into large themed displays across the grounds.

This year's theme, 'Harvest Hues,' reimagines the work of modern and contemporary artists in produce — installations taking their cues from painters including Basquiat, Rothko and Pollock, alongside the life-sized pumpkin houses of the nationally known Pumpkin Village. The garden is open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the final day, and the weekend's Entertainment at Jeanne's Pavilion runs from noon to 2 p.m. in the Shadow Garden.

Admission listings put general admission at $25.95 for adults and $21.95 for children, with children under 3 free, and tickets are sold through the Arboretum's own site. One planning note from this station's weather desk: Sunday opens with fog on the live feed before a high near 75, so the extra hour from the clocks falling back is well spent letting the fog lift before the drive to White Rock Lake.
