Dallas–Fort Worth Sunday Afternoon: 74 and Overcast, Monday Dries Out, Election Day's Heavy Rain Holds at 90% (Dallas Watch News)

Dallas–Fort Worth's Sunday afternoon is mild and overcast: 74.2 degrees at the station's live read, feeling like 78, on the way to a high near 75 with rain essentially out of the picture at 2%. It is standard time's first afternoon — the clocks fell back overnight — and the light will go earlier than Saturday's did.

Monday keeps getting drier in the feed. The station's Open-Meteo outlook now puts Monday overcast with a high of 82.7 and a rain chance down to 27%, from 35% in the late-morning file. Tuesday is unchanged where it matters: weather code 65, heavy rain, a 90% precipitation chance, a high near 73 and a low near 65 — on Election Day, when Dallas and Tarrant polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

After Tuesday the week settles. Wednesday is dry and overcast at 76, Thursday warms to 81, and Friday and Saturday turn clear at 77 and 79, with rain chances in the low single digits until a 14% chance on Saturday. For voters, the practical read has not changed since this morning: Tuesday is the day to leave early, expect wet roads, and use the free DART and Trinity Metro Election Day rides if driving looks miserable.
