Monday Night in Dallas–Fort Worth: Victoria Monét at South Side Ballroom, a Jersey Boys Lottery in Fort Worth

Monday is not a night off this week. An R&B headliner plays the Cedars at 8, a Christian-music veteran marks 25 years in Richardson at 7, Fort Worth's Broadway lottery opens at 9 in the morning, and the Stockyards start a new longhorn show at lunchtime.

Monday Night in Dallas–Fort Worth: Victoria Monét at South Side Ballroom, a Jersey Boys Lottery in Fort Worth (Dallas Watch News)

The night before Election Day is usually a night Dallas–Fort Worth spends at home. The listings disagree. The headline show is in the Cedars: Victoria Monét brings her Frequency Of Love Tour to South Side Ballroom at 8 p.m. Monday, a show the week's concert guides are calling Monday's main event — a Monday-night slot that outranks most cities' Saturdays, with a live band behind her. Across the river of suburbs, Richardson has the quieter room: Steven Curtis Chapman's Speechless: 25th Anniversary Tour plays the Eisemann Center at 7 p.m.

Fort Worth's Monday starts earlier and cheaper. At the Cowtown Coliseum in the Stockyards, Legacy of the Longhorn begins at 12:30 p.m. — a new production, in partnership with the Fort Worth Herd, telling the story of the American West through live cattle drives and immersive visuals, running Monday through Thursday with tickets listed at $0.00 on the AXS listing read this cycle. And at 9 a.m., the Jersey Boys digital lottery opens for Bass Performance Hall: entries run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for Tuesday evening's performance, the first of a November 3–8 run that opens the 2026-2027 Broadway at the Bass season in the show's 20th anniversary year, with the lottery continuing daily through the final Sunday show.

None of it competes with Tuesday, exactly — the polls, the rain gear and the results own that day. But as a map of the evening before, it is a full one: a lunchtime longhorn show, a 9-to-3 lottery window, two concerts in two cities, and a Metroplex that is plainly not going to bed early just because the election is tomorrow.
